Ari Gordin brings a rare combination of technical depth and sophisticated legal training to his litigation and regulatory practice. Before entering law, Ari earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering and worked as an engineer on high-profile, environmentally sensitive industrial projects. That technical foundation lets him engage with regulators, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses on equal footing, and navigate the most demanding disputes with a credibility few attorneys can match.

Ari’s practice focuses on environmental and administrative litigation, contested federal and state permitting, and regulatory compliance and counseling. He represents public-sector clients in large-scale water and infrastructure matters involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies. He has also helped secure favorable outcomes in litigation raising open questions of agency authority, jurisdiction, and statutory interpretation, and he advises clients across the full range of state and federal environmental requirements affecting major infrastructure.

Before joining Jones Fortuna, Ari practiced in the Environmental, Health & Safety group at King & Spalding LLP. He is also a former Fulbright Fellow.
